B+J's Intimate Catskills Wedding at The Sablewood

If you’re wanting inspo on how to achieve a swoon-worthy, vogue magazine-feeling wedding, Bali and James’s wedding is the one for you. Their day was one I’ll hold dear for a long, long time to come. If you have the pleasure of knowing Bali and James, you’ll know just what an absolute treasure they are. And if you know me, you know that I don’t just plan my couple’s weddings, I become your built in bestie. So obviously, Bali, James, and I are all the best of friends at this point!

From our very first phone call, I could tell that working with Bali and James was going to be effortless and fun. They booked A Lively Event for Month-of Coordination, but from the start, Bali and I were in constant contact—chatting on the phone, texting, and troubleshooting all the little details that come with planning a wedding. Even though we didn’t meet in person until the wedding day, it truly felt like we had known each other for years. Bali always knew she could reach out, and she fully trusted us to bring everything together seamlessly. At one point, I overheard her say to a bridesmaid, “I’m not worried about it, I trust Katie.” Hearing those words meant the world to me and reminded me why I love what I do.

Before anything else is said about the day, Dani, Bali and James’s photographer, needs a HUGE shoutout for capturing the day so perfectly! She made the day feel like we were in a 90’s romance film - truly the most stunning photos.

Bali and James got married at the always-stunning, Sablewood in Schoharie, New York. It was an overcast day which made the white flowers and bright bridesmaids dresses ‘pop’ even more! Blooms For Rooms did a phenomenal job with the florals including stunning aisle florals and an incredible altar floral arrangement that had me amazed!
