Once upon a time, there was a gorgeous Filipino princess named Felicity and a dark and daring knight named Tim. They had fallen in love and began to plan the wedding of their dreams. Their wedding was to take place in a land far from their home in Illinois. Felicity and Tim knew they needed a fairy godmother to help with their castle wedding in Upstate NY.
Felicity had been in contact with Katie while she was going to nursing school. Felicity knew Katie was the fairy godmother they needed to make their dreams come true. Here begins the story........
Felicity and Tim had a vision of a winter wedding in a castle! YES! A winter castle wedding! We were all about that. They knew they wanted the Highland Castle in Bolton Landing for their getting ready location and photo location!
The castle was straight out of the Game of Thrones! The hidden passageways, the knights, and the amazing architecture, all brought you back in time. We had to find the hidden lever to get into the bridal suite which was hidden behind a bookcase.
The ceremony took place in the great room surrounded by Felicity and Tim's closest family and friends. It was a spectacular view and the ceremony had to be one of the sweetest ones I have witnessed. The ceremony was officiated by the bride's sweet and loving father, who made us all cry.
The storm was rolling in and the snow was coming down hard as we had an amazing photo session in the snow! Having everyone's best interest in mind and knowing we had to drive down the mountain we made the decision to get off of the mountain. There was some slipping and sliding as we made our way down the mountain, but we all made it off safely.
Our next stop was The Gideon Putnam for the reception! We took advantage of their gorgeous grounds and amazing building for some more amazing shots.
All of the centerpieces, florals, and details were created out of love by Felicity's amazing mother. Aren't all of these pieces breathtaking?
Once all of the formal photos were completed, it was time to party and enjoy the night. We spent the night dancing to DJ Nick from Maddalone Entertainment and watching the snow fall outside!
