Katie Hamuka - Owner & Master Collaborator
Hi, I’m Katie!
I started my own event planning business sitting in my mom’s living room. It started with planning my son's birthday party and has rapidly grown. I had an amazing support team which included my mom and my son! With their love and support, I went back to college graduated with my Associate degree, the best part of receiving my degree was having my son handed over the wall at HVCC so that he could walk out the rest of the way with me. I decided event planning was the way I wanted to go, so back to school I went to become a Certified Wedding Planner. In May of 2018, I graduated Summa Cum Laude with my Bachelors degree in Event Management, having my son in the audience watching me, was the best part of it. I love being able to show him you can do anything you set your mind to.
Here is my graduation day May 2018 and May 2012, both with my boy in my arm! Talk about a proud mom moment!
I am so happy to do what I love for a living and thankful for every event that I have been a part of and for all of the new friends I have made along the way. I hope this has given you a little insight into my passion and heart. If you'd like to know more, please do not hesitate to ask.

Hi, I’m Audrey!
I am Katie's mom! While wedding planning is not my first job, I support Katie and love to be a part of her business. The best part of working with my daughter is seeing her bring her passion to life and growing her business. She has worked so hard to grow A Lively Event and we make a pretty great team!
I have worked in the medical field for over 25 years. I started as a CNA and then went back to school and graduated the day after Katie with my associates degree. It was pretty cool when we both graduated with our Associate degrees a day apart! I am now an Occupational Therapy Assistant and work in a rehab facility in Massachusetts.
We cannot wait to work with you and learn about your wedding!

Hi, I’m Sherrie!
I am Katie's best friend! Katie and I actually met for the first time at my wedding. Katie was a friend of my husband and she was invited as a guest. Katie's wedding planning mind didn't stop even though she was a guest. She cleaned up our personal items and managed drunk guest issues! This was my first experience with Katie and how she worked.
I have watched and worked with Katie to make her business grow! I am so excited to be a part of the team and celebrate your special day with you!

Katie is my mom!! I have helped my mom for as long as I can remember with her business., whether it is packing boxes, loading the emergency kit in the car, loading in and out of bridal shows, or reminding her during the day to drink (she forgets to drink during a wedding day) and now assisting at weddings!
I have watched my mom work hard to grow her business and I am excited to be a part of the team! My favorite part of the wedding day is dinner! I enjoy trying new foods and seeing what you have picked to serve your friends and family! We can't wait to celebrate your day with you!
